Alles ist Gute

What does “having it all” mean to you? Is it attainable?

Yesterday morning we went to the farmers market downtown and then headed over to a vegan restaurant nearby. We ordered two smoothies and a vegan BBQ sandwich. I am not sure what happened as the staff had one issue after another including a broken juicer and employees showing up late for work. Our meal took over an hour. Having it all is having little inconveniences and not getting bent out of shape. The nuance being there are others in this situation this would be a source of conflict. And rightly so, as there are things to do and places to be.

Last night we took a short stroll to the waterfront from our house. It was nice to walk a few blocks and take in the magnificent views of The Puget Sound. The night calm and serene was just that perfect. It has been a dream of mine to live near the ocean and have the daily feel of salt ocean air. That is the simplicity of having it all.

Having it all is not wanting to have any more. It is being content in where you are.

But can you have it all? absolutely not. With a simple stroll comes consideration for others. You want the oceans to be cleaner, and want others to have their ability to enjoy the night like this, but for a moment, you have it all.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
