Who would you like to talk to soon?

It has been awhile, but I have not seen the grandkids. We are moved into our current house, and for the most part it is livable.

At First Glance

Arthur saw this house before I did. I told this antidote previously. He walked into the house and queried the real estate agent on the location of the fire extinguishers. He and his sister will be here tomorrow bright and early. I am looking forward to it.,

And Then There is Yafa

She is in Freiburg with our son and daughter. I usually talk to her on most days around dinner time in Germany. I am missing her and would like to visit her in Autumn.

Need to Converse in German

My skill level has improved to the B1/B2 level. I have the words and the sentences but not the needed speed for comprehension. Possibly I will find some German connections in our new neighborhood.

What We Talk About When We Talk About Love is a 1981 short story collection by Raymond Carver, known for its minimalist style and exploration of love, loss, and human connection through the lives of working-class characters. I rather like Carver and approach to story telling.

Some times it is the simple things where we see the beauty in the details.

Es ist schon eine Weile her, aber ich habe die Enkelkinder noch nicht gesehen. Wir sind in unser jetziges Haus eingezogen, und im Großen und Ganzen ist es bewohnbar.

Arthur hat dieses Haus vor mir gesehen. Diese Anekdote habe ich bereits erzählt. Er betrat das Haus und fragte den Makler nach dem Standort der Feuerlöscher. Er und seine Schwester werden morgen in aller Frühe hier sein. Ich freue mich darauf.

Und dann ist da noch Yafa

Sie ist mit unserem Sohn und unserer Tochter in Freiburg. Normalerweise spreche ich fast jeden Tag gegen Abend mit ihr, wenn in Deutschland gerade Abendessenzeit ist. Ich vermisse sie und würde sie gerne im Herbst besuchen.

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.
