A Towering Home Run of Epic Proportion

What’s something you used to believe as a kid that seems ridiculous now?

I thought my grandmother‘s backyard was gigantic. How we filled those memories for our grandkids.

Yesterday in North Everett a shot was heard around the world. Four year-old Arthur stepped up to bat and repeatedly hit a few pitched balls weakly into the yard.

As we were ready to wrap up for the day, Arthur took one last swing. It was a mighty swing. It connected solidly and sent the ball over the backyard fence and into the neighbors yard.

The ball still has not yet been returned.

Those kids are so fortunate. 🙂 Happy sigh.

They do live a treasured life and it amazes me as our kids are better parents than I. Even my daughter in Germany who is going through a divorce and she handles it so much better than I did. Hindsight does has perfect vision.

On a side note I get to see the third grandchild in Mainz next Monday. Yafa is pretty darn excited.

Safe and happy travels! I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful visit.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
