What are your biggest challenges?

Right now it is staying on task and answering this prompt.

Focus

So there in itself is the challenge. We have a few big things coming up this year including more than likely moving to Seattle.

I am already sick of moving

And there is so much to do. I am getting my mental game in order in order to stay focused. I promised an editor I would get my book to them in the early part of this year. Not to be overly cliche, with challenges come opportunities.

Joy

The United States is in crisis with a few racist misogynist despots attempting an ill masked coup. Amongst this chaos I want to find the inherent self worth in all I encounter and remembering kindness solves many a challenge.

This is such an honest, grounded reflection—and that honesty is its real strength. You don’t dress the challenges up; you name them exactly as they are: focus, fatigue, transition, responsibility. That self-awareness already shows you’re doing the “mental game” work you mention.

I really appreciate how you hold both tension and intention at the same time—being tired of moving, yet preparing for what’s next; feeling the weight of political and social unrest, yet choosing kindness and recognizing inherent worth in others. That choice feels deliberate and quietly courageous.

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
