How does your mindset affect your financial success?
I’m a little bit, offended by this question, but I’ve been offended by many questions in my life or maybe that’s just my mindset. But really is financial success.
Research indicates that individuals with psychopathic traits (like superficial charm, lack of remorse, and manipulation) are highly adept at superficial self-promotion. This helps them climb corporate ladders quickly. In fact, studies show around 4% to 21% of CEOs and corporate executives exhibit clinically significant psychopathic traits, compared to just 1% of the general population. Jon Ronson -The Psychopath Test
I have too much empathy to climb the corporate ladder. And I’m not a big fan of capitalism.
What the hell is financial success?. In my opinion financial success is financial independence without flaunting it. Somehow this question is worded backwards.
I find myself getting triggered with this question a bit. I started researching Dave Ramsey for a while. His financial methods are sound, however, his view that everybody has equal opportunity on this planet is ridiculous. They simply do not.
Somewhere along the line, I made pretty decent choices. They were not choices made with a financial: mindesetv. They were made where I could live within the capitalistic system and still be happy with myself.
I do believe your financial security has a way of shaping your outlook on life and not the other way around. But then again, I’m contradicting myself. If you have the mindset to lack empathy or overall world concerns with a goat, making it much money as possible come hell or high water. You may be a success. We all find success a little differently..
Success for me is being able to sleep at night.
That’s a simplistic view of things that I could probably go on forever on this subject.
Remember the corporate credo. Maximize shareholder wealth, despite everything that’s going on in the world.
Sorry, I can’t find my sarcasm font.

I don’t know who Henry is. But he looked very happy.
