There sit ninety-six

lonely waste bags

resting on the Moon

 left behind by astronauts

The historic Apollo program

careful weight decisions

before returning to orbit

ensuring a safe liftoff

excrement and urine with

no air, weather or bacteria

nothing breaks down

the way it does on Earth

there they remain preserved

not petrified

for quiet decades

In all its phases

environmental reality

of space travel

every gram mattered

every choice critical

a small detail from

one giant leap in

human history

as a reflection of

the planet left behind

I would love to hear you opinion as well

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
