One thing I will truly miss is going to Portland Thorns matches. I love this team. Tonight they defeated San Diego two nil to move to the top of the table. It was an outstanding fast paced match of two of the best teams in the league.

Sitting Behind Us

Was Ms. Gabby McBlabberson

Gabby sat and talked the entire game with her seat mate Chatty UberNada. They talked about everything but Soccer. They talked about people they knew, people they didn’t know, the school bus routes in their neighborhood, Uber eats, and other non-related drivel. It wasn’t mean talk. It was just constant talk. I had a real hard time tuning them out.

Marie Mueller puts Thorns up One Nil

The entire crowd rose and cheered as against the run of play Mueller put the Thorns up one nil.

It would’ve been nice if this would’ve taken the Gabby sisters off their game, as they were silenced for a few minutes and then they rambled on. They were the Ever reddy bunnies.

Maybe my wife and I are too into soccer as we watch it intently and with purpose. And there are other people who do not. There was a time I would let things like this bother me.

Not tonight, It was a glorious night to be at Providence Park in Portland. A beautiful, half moon rose over the stadium as we were leaving. It has been our home away from home for 20 years.. I proposed marriage to my wife here.

This is such a lively and heartfelt snapshot of a night that clearly means more than just a match.
What stands out is the blend of humor and emotion—the contrast between your deep love for the game and the light, amusing distraction of “Gabby and friends” adds charm and relatability.

yes, my wife and I sat at the game with a little gentle sadness as we will not be able to go once we move.

We had our wedding pictures taken in our seats. The park is part of the fabric of our family.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
