What is your favorite holiday? Why is it your favorite?

Tomorrow

May 1 is widely celebrated as International Workers’ Day(or May Day), a public holiday in over 90 countries honoring labor movements, workers’ rights, and social justice. It originated from the 1886 Haymarket affair in the U.S. and often features parades, rallies, and demonstrations worldwide, especially in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. It does fall on my birthday every year.

Both my kids have the day off in Germany. If you look closely, it is not celebrated in the United States. I remember as a kid dancing around a May pole and never really understanding the significance of the holiday.

I can’t say it’s my favorite holiday, but it is worth noting because it’s right around the corner. I enjoy November 11 and May 9 as my favorite holidays, but every day is special in its own way.

Tomorrow

I have a big day planned for tomorrow. My buddy is bringing his truck over and we are taking huge items to the dump.

Dream Big

My wife tells me that my celebration starts at 5 o’clock tomorrow night. I don’t know what’s in the works, but I know I have to shower.

On Saturday night, we will head over to Mississippi Studios to watch an artist I just discovered. Anne Tivel

I would love to hear you opinion as well

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
