What’s the most recent coincidence you’ve experienced?

I did not run today because I went on an earlier bike ride. So I got home and I went for a long walk with the dog. I walked by this guy who was adjusting his bike rack on his car just like I did two weeks ago.

He had the same quizzical look as I did. He shook his bike a few times and then the bike rack.. He stepped back a few steps and seemed to be figuring out the problem

I walked by and said to him there’s a screw on the front you need to tighten with and Allen wrench.

He did just that.

He smiled in a crooked way and said thanks

And I continued on my walk. if I would’ve run today, which I do 19 out of 20 days. Maybe his bike-rack would still be shaking or falling off his car in the middle of the interstate resulting in a 74 car pile up.

What a delightful story—and a wonderful reminder that small acts of kindness can sometimes have consequences we will never know. 😊

I love the humorous twist at the end: perhaps your decision not to run that day prevented a hypothetical 74-car pile-up! 😂 Of course, we can’t know what would have happened, but the thought certainly makes the story memorable.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
