Nothing Times Everything

When is the last time you did absolutely nothing? How did it work out?

Here we sit on a Saturday morning and we are doing absolutely nothing. It has been along time since I did absolutely nothing. This morning there are no boxes to pack, no forms to fill out. There are but we have no immediate deadlines.

My wife is planning out the rooms in the new house and matching what we have and where we are going and my brain isn’t even ready for that. If I venture there I sit and envision where the turntable sits and the speakers sit in the house. If you have music you have everything else.

Of course where do we put the didgeridoo?

What are the good running routes that lead me down to Puget Sound?

Are any of us good at doing nothing? I don’t really know what doing nothing is.

The question of the day is do I want an ottoman

Naturally I had to ask, ‘what is an ottoman’.

“Yes I would like an ottoman. “

This is why Jenna and I are a dream team. We cover the entire spectrum

This is such a quietly charming and relatable piece—it captures that rare, slightly unfamiliar feeling of having nothing urgent to do with a lot of warmth and subtle humor.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
