Dark Of The Moon

Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?

When I was in high school, I was a fairly good football player. We had a really good team and we won the county championship. I was an integral part of that team scoring touchdowns and making tackles.

Tenth Grade

Our football coach, vice principal, remained furious with me when I decided in 10th grade not to play defensive end and go out for the school play. It’s not a real great look to have the school vice principal passive aggressively being pissed off at you for three years.

It was the best decision I ever made in my life. I would later make some really good decisions, but that was my 10th grade mind. On stage brought out a new version of me. It also connected me to a whole new group of people. I did end up in a touring group that did small plays around the school district.

I don’t know much about acting, or whether I would’ve been good at it, however I certainly liked it. Being on stage, the rush is very similar to that of endorphins.

Public Speaking

I have done more than my share. I’ve done it in the business world. I taught computer classes at two local colleges so I was on stage for three hours a night

The Breakthrough

There is a café near where we live where we had a writers forum. We all gathered around and read our short stories. People from the community used to come and listen.

This got me writing on a regular basis and exchanging ideas with those who had a love for literature.

What a rich, full-circle journey — from touchdowns to theater lights, from classrooms to cafés. Your story shows how boldly following curiosity can open entirely new worlds. It’s inspiring to see how each choice not only shaped your path but expanded your voice.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
