I am out running and my wife is away from home. I am a few I’m,es into my run and my zen is ruined by the sound of nearby fire trucks. The rest of the run I am fixated on whether I turned off the iron. Yes, at one time in my life I ironed. I have no idea why I still get the same reaction when hearing a fire siren while running. Wildfires break out everywhere these days.

Ring

Is a security system we have for our new home. Ring is also the primary sponsor of The Portland Thorns. We love our woman’s soccer.

Technology

We get notices when there is any activity around our front door. While out running I get notices of any front door activity through my Garmand watch tied into my phone.

And once I receive the warning I worry for the rest of my run, ignoring the fire trucks headed in the other direction.

Despite all the technology, the song remain the same. I still get triggered while on a run while all they were trying to do in the first place is.
