The Side Effects of Endorphins

Let me take a little detour here on the information super highway, and we can pull in to my house for a while.

And I need to explain something that is how a bill becomes the law.

In the democracy known as marriage you just don’t hang a picture of Dick Cabot on the wall, because the picture is funny. My wife loves to shop for furniture and I do not.

Another Strange Detour

Many years ago, I was talking to my stepmother. We’ve always been close. She told me she had a dream that she visited me and all my furniture was car seats. That probably doesn’t have anything to do with anything.

Large Sample Size

I’ve lived more places than the normal person. Still there’s not a very large sample size for what your style is. When right out of college, you might have paintings your mother, no longer wanted On a the wall. And then you discover IKEA and think you’re on the cutting edge. And then your grandmother gives you an old rocking chair, you adored, and it fits with nothing.. but still there it sits in your living room. At one point, your exercise, bike doubles as a clothes dryer.

Re-Enter The Democracy

On to another useless tangent is that of having pets. We had a reclining chair that they completely destroyed. I sit here and type this, and Bobo gives me a sideways smirk indicating he doesn’t care. I never wear black clothing because I have pets. We buy furniture that will wear well with animals.

Making Policy

There are now are certain pieces of furniture the pets are allowed on. I have no idea how they figure that out, but they kind of do. And we do get invaded by the three and five year-old often. So there’s a dinosaur in the window at a large chalkboard in the kitchen.

Also

I started writing this a couple hours ago and the prompt read. Do things happen for a reason.. I guess this prompt came up for a reason, even though things do not happen for a reason. Because when I come to think about it, I have no consistent style for home decoration other than reducing clutter.

Must Have

For me, one of the essential items in home decoration is the acoustics. I love to listen to music and having speakers all over the house.

This is a four foot section in our living room. I put the table together on Saturday. There have been 13 iterations of what’s on that table. Currently there are three glassy baby candles. I think that’s what they’re called. The pictures are from Central Mexico and they are cool. At the last house they were in the bathroom. I like them better here.

Furniture

Is one big double elimination tournament and we are the architects. It’s OK to be a little weird because the opposite, it’s pretty boring..
