What’s the most annoying trope in books or movies?

I had to look up the word trope as I didn’t know the meaning. I am simply going to use the word cliche. I am a Indie movie person, and rarely if ever watch block busters, probably to avoid these overused devices.

Life imitates art and art imitates life. I do not like graphic violence in a movie, especially gun violence. It usually doesn’t deepen the plot and if it does it is a plot not worth telling. I wanted to like Kill Bill but made it through ten minutes of the movie.

The same can be said for car chases. In real life somebody has to clean up that mess.

Then again I am not the correct demographic the movie makers are after. I do not even have butter on my popcorn.

Against the run of play, we did enjoy The Righteous Gemstones. It had all the elements I dislike in cinema, yet I understood the mockery of grandiose nature of our society.

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.
