What’s one piece of travel advice you always follow?
Using the word always doesn’t usually work for me as I’m not always usually the type that does the same thing consistently over and over again. I’ve come to realize that travel is a great privilege. i’m not wanting to give unsolicited advice, but this is one role of thumb that I think holds true.. Leave your privilege at home and treat travel with humility.
There is only one axiom of travel that is etched in stone and I’ll include that at the end of this little diatribe. I’ll have to keep it short this morning as I have to login and hopefully secure Brandi Carlyle tickets for my wife and her friends

So to keep it shortand succinct
- Keep an open mind and an open agenda. Something will go wrong and if so there are great stories to tell. That’s why most of us are here anyways we storytellers.
- Learn the customs and mores where you’re going, I am constantly reminded stay out of the Bike lane and stare people in the eyes when you’re giving a toast,
- Be early and always give yourself time for error.
- Carry a Journal with you.
- Travel is not simply a checklist, digging, in and living the life of the locals, try the food of the locals, and if you can try to speak the language. Just a little bit..
- My grandmother always told me to put cute little tassels on your luggage. See used to knit them for me.
- I should not even include this one because I am kind of lucky. Utilize the travel lounges. It helps you stay hydrated and if need be, you can take a shower.
- And here’s one axiom of travel that I find interesting. On every flight, there’s a person with a cowboy hat. Look for that man in a cowboy hat and they shall guide you.

I would love to hear you opinion as well
