What was your first ever concerts and or car?

Taking a Detour

I was asked yesterday what was my first video game and I was asked the same thing today so I thought I’d take a detour as I’m not all that into video games.

I really wanted to go to the concert with the girl who sat beside me in my English literature class, but that didn’t happen. She was probably playing video games. I took my 64 Falcon from Reading Pennsylvania down to a giant concert outside of Philadelphia.

Quick Detour

As an aside, there is a similar 64 Falcon on one of my running routes. That 64 Falcon that sits on my running route is in better shaped than the Falcon I took to this concert.

Another Detour

On another one of my running routes, there is a 1972 Volkswagen that is neither a stick shift or an automatic. It is a semi automatic. That is the car. which I took my driving test.

I was so excited for this concert. I’m kind of mad that the girl of my dreams could not go, but that’s how high school works. The concert venue held 100,000 people and here we were to see the Allman Brothers., followed by Lynyrd Skynyrd and the head liner was actually Peter Frampton.

The Allman Brothers were surprisingly good and I rather liked the version of Sweet Melissa.

I have no idea why I liked Lynyrd Skynyrd back then. I knew all their music and was really excited to see the song Free Bird played. We had all had our lighters out.I didn’t smoke.

Another Detour.

Many years later, I was in a locker room of our local sports club that was closing down for the day. I was taking a shower and there was one other person in the locker room.. About 10 minutes to nine this song Freebird came on the hefty sound system The only other guy in the locker room started going into an air guitar solos while clad only in a cheap sports club towel. I

believe the other day we discussed goals, and one of my goals was to never hear the song Free Bird again

Show Me The Way

Yes, there was a point in time when Peter Frampton was one of the hottest selling albums and still remains that to this day. I certainly did like that portion of the concert. These days, Peter Frampton plays mostly jazz and rarely ever plays songs from that era.

And back to your original question, I never played video games even back and my Lynyrd Skynyrd Peter Frampton days.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
