What do you think is the future of AI?
Please proceed here with caution as I just got back from a run and have endorphins on my brain. So this may be all over the place.
I was talking to an author friend, and he is one of the most mild mannered people I know, and I asked him the same question and there were quite a few F bombs.

I hate to say it’s not going away.
I use the term artificial insemination, kind of on purpose. Because artificial intelligence basically is one big query into all knowledge that we have out there that’s readily available.
And it could be one big math equation where our knowledge isn’t that good and we give wrong answers. Wrong answers are the seeds for more wrong answers.. Unfortunately multiplying by wrong answer by wrong answer doesn’t equal a right answer.
That doesn’t necessarily have to be true. Because there are right answers out there.
If you ask AI about AI, you get a tepid answer such as this.

Artificial intelligence has potential long-term risks, including existential threats, but it also offers significant benefits like improved decision-making and efficiency. The balance between these risks and rewards is still a subject of debate among experts.
But who are the experts?. as programmers we program, as environmentalist we protest, and as narcissistic CEOs of late stage, capitalistic companies we want to do the holy Grail, and that is maximize shareholder wealth.
Since the birth of the industrial revolution, capitalism always wins.
There been so many buzz words to stay away from in our society, such as GMO, DDT, AOL and BTO. in the words of bachman-turner overdrive been a song that somehow became a hit. They may have summarize it up the best..
So if you own a BTO album walk over turntable and put this song on.
So I took what I could get, mmh
Oooh, oooh she looked at me with big brown eyes
And said,
