What’s the best way to explore a new city?

I just got back from exploring my old city memorializing a friend who just passed away. What did myself and 110 other friends do – we went for a run, told stories, sang and drank beer. I know October can make any city look great, but it was nice to be back in Portland again on the banks of the Willamette on a the perfect day.

You never know what you got until it’s gone

I’ve lived in many places and my best way to get to know my way around a new city is to go for a run and go for a run often. It has worked for me my entire life and hopefully I don’t move again.

I happen to talk to everybody so there is that. That even works for traveling. We are planning a trip to Albania and Istanbul. I plan to explore both places the same way. It has worked in the past and I’m sticking with it.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
