The Side Effects of Endorphins

I am sitting here with a bunch of friends and posed this question to the group and we struggled a bit with this.

One concept we found to be universally agreeable was the customs of a baseball game. I haven’t followed baseball all that closely in years but having grandchildren does tend to change that equation

Even though the team we root for isn’t having a great season.

Even being vegan, a hot dog at a baseball game is magical.

Take me out to the ballgame
Take me out to the crowd
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks
I don’t care if I never get back
Let me root, root, root for the home team
If they don’t win it’s a shame
For it’s one, two, three strikes you’re out
At the old ballgame

Singing that song at the middle of the seventh inning is a group experience that I find endearing . This is even more true of minor league games.

Being in Idaho, American traditions can be over the top and doubly redundant (sic). I don’t really want to see another giant American flag on a pick up truck or fireworks for the hell of it. We Americans have a few traditions I find endearing but for the most part they are over the top.

However, getting together with old friends is a tradition I like very much.
