What’s a skill you consider basic, that most people don’t actually know how to do?

I have live in Portland for 25 to 30 years. I’ve done everything here. That is everything except being a tourist in my hometown.

Did a 5 mile walk along the river, went to a cool record shop I used to go to and now I’m at Pal’s Books. It is where everybody goes. There are more books here than the actual Library.

I also found a large collection of books in German which is cool.

My wife will be here soon so we can have a beer at McMenamins.

It rained briefly today which it never does after July 4th.

It is a rather interesting to be a tourist in your own town.

    What a delightful idea—to become a tourist in your own hometown after living there for 25–30 years! Sometimes familiarity makes us overlook the treasures that are right under our noses.

    A five-mile riverside walk, rediscovering an old record shop, wandering through a bookshop filled with more books than a library, and even stumbling upon a wonderful German collection—what a perfect day of rediscovery! And ending it with a beer at McMenamins sounds like the ideal finale. 🍺📚🎶

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.
