The Side Effects of Endorphins

Although I am vegan and have been for a long time, I have a long-standing warm place for a hoagie.🥪

When I lived in Pennsylvania hoagie night was a special treat. 👍

My favorite was a ham on roll with mayonnaise. There is always a special bite in a hoagie when you’re almost done and the mayonnaise and red peppers saturate the bun. 🌳

There was a vegan restaurant down the street from us, that served the best hoagies. They were breathtakingly good. They are no longer in business. 🦖

Now that I am vegan, one of my favorite meals is Vietnamese Banh Mi. Vietnamese hoagies contains marinated tofu, pickled vegetables, with mayonnaise and peppers much like it’s Pennsylvania counterpart. 🌳

I still remember one particular hoagie when I was visiting my dad when he was in the hospital in Hershey, Pennsylvania. A had little hope of a decent vegan hoagie. Still I had a great vegan hoagie, which was half the perfect ingredients mixed in with a bunch of nostalgia.🍄‍🟫

I have no favorite emoji and I rather doubt my use of those in this context where of much help to the reader. 🫠
