What’s a song that changed your life?
I’m a music nut, and I listen to music, I collect music I analyze music. I think it works the other way around as your life affects your music. If I keep focused, I will add a link where the music of the Counting Crows almost changed my life for the worst. I used to be a big Counting Crows fan, and I have not listened to them much recently at all
Here to the best of my recollection was a playlist from our wedding.
- Night Swimming -REM
- Mozarts 21st Piano Concerto
- See How Far -Bruce Cockburn
- Fake Plastic Trees -Radiohead
- Misguided Angel – Cowboy Kines
- Sons and Daughters -Decemberists
- What A wonderful World -Louis Armstrong
- A song (All I Want is You) on The Juno soundtrack
- I See You See Me – The Magic Numbers
- Anna Begins -The Counting Crows
- Calling You -Evette Steele
That was fun enough trying to remember those, and for the reader, it probably doesn’t matter that terribly much other than saying, I barely recognize any of these songs.
None of these songs, change my life my life change the meaning of these songs and I probably don’t listen to any of these songs too much in my life anymore with the exception of the Mozart piece I certainly listen to Radiohead enough.
Mozart 21st piano Concerto was a CD I bought immediately after buying my first CD player. I always generally liked classical music and I sat and listened, it put me in a very peaceful place. I certainly love the first movement however it is the second movement sometimes that I must go back to and give a listen to one. Things are a little chaotic in life..
It can change your life for a moment.

I have millions of moments like that in my life.
- I remember standing on the beach in Ocean Shores after a running relay and hearing the song Poets by the Tragically Hip for the first time.
- I remember my mother-in-law‘s ceremony we did in Wyoming while spreading her ashes on a surreal, beautiful day. Somebody slipped Into the Mystic on The Car stereo system as we watch the sunset..
- I remember a jazz musician in a smoky Berlin pool hall, taking my breath away.
- I remember the song at The End Of the World As We Know it by R.E.M. playing on our car stereo. As getting my son out of the car and he was singing, though refrain in a song, which I never noticed much previously.
- I remember buying a stereo system at the ripe bold age of 15 It cost me $1000 in funded by my Paper route.. the first song to play when I plugged in that stereo was Janis Ian’s “At Seventeen.“
And then there is this train wreck

I would love to hear you opinion as well
