What’s the most underrated movie you’ve ever watched?

Sometimes watching a movie and sharing it with somebody else as opposed to the actual movie itself is part of the pomp and circumstance.

The Cat From Outer Space

Shared with our daughter Marina

Three scientists help an Alien feline, stranded on Earth, to repair its damaged spacecraft in order to return home but their efforts are hampered by inept army officials and foreign spies.

I don’t have any idea why my daughter picked this us up to watch, but we watch it occasionally. It is so tacky and that’s the beauty in it.

Drowning By Numbers

Shared with our son Max

Drowning by Numbers is a 1988 crime comedy-drama film directed by Peter Greenaway. It won the award for Best Artistic Contribution at the Cannes Film Festival of 1988.. I really want to watch this movie again as my son is genus picking out off the wall movies. The last time we watched this it was my last day in Berlin and we were kind of tired and it was a great evening.

Christmas Trains

Shared with Arthur and Elouise

This isn’t even a movie. It’s a YouTube video of trains and it lasts for about 90 minutes. The kids will watch it over and over at Christmas time. I actually love when they put it on as it so quiet, serene and peaceful.

Minions

Favored by Yafa Luna

I never knew much about the Minions until Yafa wanted to watch it. We tried to watch the new movie when it came out in Germany, but you have to be six.. We have parts in the original Minion movie that Yafa loves. She loves the scene where one of the minions get swallowed and spit out and all the minions go..

Eeewwwwww..

I’m not one to watch blockbusters and I prefer foreign and Indie movies. I have seen so many obscure movies and I’ve touched on them previously and will probably touch on them again. But these four movies above are kind of special because they draw a connection to not only the movie but those to whom I watched it with.

What a lovely reminder that the real magic of watching a movie often lies in the memories and connections we create while sharing it with loved ones. ❤️ Whether it’s a tacky film, an unusual cinematic discovery, or peaceful Christmas trains, these shared moments become precious family traditions. Sometimes, it’s not about what we watch, but who we watch it with and the memories we carry long after the screen goes dark.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
