If you could go back in time and give your younger self advice, what would it be?

I think this prompt has come up about every single week since the leaves started turning yellow this year.

Every single version of me has been my younger self. I personally am not a fan of unsolicited advice and the last thing my younger self wants to hear is advice from an older version of themselves

Current Me – CM

Younger Me – YM

YM – what’s going on? I suspect something’s up as it’s the fifth time you tried to give me advice.

CM – aren’t we a little cocky today?

YM – It’s just teenage angst. I am going to the prom.

CM – if I were me, I wouldn’t do that if I were you

YM – please don’t tell me my grammar is gonna be that bad 30 years from now.

CM YOLO

YM – that’s the worst misplaced metaphor I ever heard.

Please stop asking me this question my future self, my current self, and my past self. We were all never a great communicator and now you’re asking me to have them talk to each other. Please grab some popcorn..

😂 This is absolutely hilarious! Sometimes, our younger selves would probably tell our older selves to mind their own business! Life has a funny way of teaching us lessons that no amount of advice could ever replace. Perhaps the best thing we can do is let our younger selves make mistakes and discover life in their own way. Thanks for the laughs—and yes, popcorn is definitely needed for this conversation

Thank you. Grandkid weekend is tough for me to get time to sit down and write. Sometimes my logic is similar to our five year old grand son. I am okay with that.

That’s the beauty of being a grandparent! 😊❤️ Sometimes, a five-year-old’s logic is far more refreshing than an adult’s complicated reasoning. Enjoy every moment with your grandson—writing can wait, but these precious memories are worth cherishing.

Hahaha. So true. It starts to feel like a psychological test of some sort.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
