The Side Effects of Endorphins

I was out running yesterday. I was kind of nice as it seems like the beginning of the rainy season started early. I had a song in my head by a group called the Jayhawks.

What led me to this town?

What Led Me to This Town” is a song by the American alternative country and rock band The Jayhawks. It was released on May 9, 2000, as part of their fifth studio album, Smile. 

I listened to this song when I was going through my divorce from my practice marriage. I didn’t listen to it for any other reason men came out then and I really liked that album. But that was a long time ago.

It is interesting to note, that the song came out on May 9 which is our anniversary, which would happen eight years later.

I was listening to the public Everett radio station and when I walked in the house, soaking wet after my run, this song was playing.

Full Circle

When my daughter was little, I used to take her to the beach in Mukilteo. I traveled a lot so I would take her on Saturday mornings when I came home from my travels.

And here we are living back in the same area. I took my daughter‘s daughter to that same spot and we had a great time. I have a hard time putting the words to how special it was.
