What’s the best thing you’ve ever found randomly on the street?

Not necessarily the best, but on two occasions I found a considerable amount, of money while running

The first time I found an endorsed check for 626. 00 while running in Beaverton Oregon. I was on my lunch break at work. I spent a considerable amount of time locating the person on the check.

I soon contacted the person and arranged to meet her at her office across town.

Please excuse the use of the expanding past as I found money on various occasions and may get some stories mixed up.

I drove up to her office and was greeted by a receptionist and said I was looking for the person’s name on the check. She walked up to the front desk and we shook hands briefly, and I handed her the check.

She said thank you and quietly went back to work.

On another occasion while running , I found a check for $11,000. That was not the exact amount, but you get the gist. I was living in Lake Oswego, Oregon at the time. I went through the same dog and pony show and finally located the person..

The exchange of the check was fairly similar with a small exception that I had to knock on the neighbors door to confirm the address. The girl who answered the door happened to be in my yoga class.

A story does not need a moral. It’s pretty simple just to do the right thing.

Here is one that will take the passion out of your lungs; We found a phone while climbing (I think it was Putrid Peak) Well, with much cyber ado we got it to ring a number that said “Wify”. The woman answered spat, ‘we got divorced a year ago!” NEVER trust the numbers on cell phones. Some could even be deceased. http://www.deetezellimountainstories.wordpress.com

I would love to hear you opinion as well

He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
