The Side Effects of Endorphins

I wrote earlier in the day today about a short story I completed yesterday. It has been in the works for about six months. So I will check that one off.

Lost and Found

This doesn’t fit in any neat category.. There are certain personal possessions that I can’t locate. I’ve been putting off actually looking for them. Then again we all do things differently.. I couldn’t find my new backpack as well as a journal from the end of last year. While looking for my favorite running shoes yesterday, I found my backpack. This is a good thing because I’m going to need it for my trip to Germany on Friday.. The journal was also in the backpack. This is a a perfect seque into journaling.

Journaling.

When we take trips, I like to keep a journal. Inevitably I’m good at it for the first two or three days and then I peter out. I always promise to get back to it. I’ve started a series myself called sketches of Berlin. I would rather journal in a notebook, but for now I’m posting those stories here.. This does help me with my German and I enjoy the memories.here was yesterdays installment.

Taxes

We are poor tax planners. Every year we owe a good amount of money on taxes. This year we actually set money aside as I am retired, and the sources of income are random and out of order. I’m also terrified the federal regime in charge. Against the run of .play, our taxes are done the money set aside and ready to be filed.

Little Buggers

There is a Bose radio back in my art room and it mysteriously turns on at 9:27 every morning. i’ve always wanted to fix this. But the show that comes on is great. Thom Hartmann is a left wing icon and I enjoy his words on XRAY.fm. I will fix that alarm someday..

Große Monster

A few months ago, I dropped my German tutor as well as Duolingo. My quest to master the German language was halted going from A2 level to B one.. here I at level B one and somehow my German seems to be getting better. I know I want to get back to it but right now being exposed to it at my leisure has been helpful..

We shall see as I walk the streets in Berlin starting Saturday. My son says we have got a lot of stories to write.
