Some people believe that spirts hide in corners. This is especially true of the houses we live. This belief is especially true of the indigenous people of North America.
This is why we see many houses built round in structure. A spirit can not hide in the corners in a teepee or an igloo. Of course we in the United States put indigenous people on reservations on the least desirable tracts of land that are barely livable. And then we, constrict square houses where they are to live.
