Goldfish

If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?

Being a writer a lot of what we write is a extension of this question as we blend traits from characters we relate to. I am brain dead right now so I will go the easy less ethereal route.

I will go with Ted Lasso. He is easy going and kind. He does a nice job of handling his divorce, he a loving father and open to outside the box life challenges.

This is such a refreshingly honest and grounded reflection. I love how you acknowledge the deeper, more “ethereal” angle—and then intentionally choose simplicity. That in itself feels very real and relatable.

Your choice of Ted Lasso says a lot. You’ve captured his essence beautifully—kindness, emotional resilience, and openness to life’s unpredictability. The way you highlight how he handles something as difficult as divorce, while still showing up as a loving father, adds a layer of quiet strength to your appreciation.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
