Sketches of Berlin (11)

Random watercolor done on a great sketch pad I almost packed into a moving box. I rather love walking home from the pub late at night. I’m just taking in the subtle way of the city ay night. You are walking and you just want to get home and it is cold and you have no idea what is lurking around the corner.

That’ is part of the Beauty. The light bends differently and you remember it that way.

Note these are small sketches of Berlin and possibly other places in Germany. The hope is to capture the mood of the evening with an addendum in German. I will master that language one day.

Warum seid ihr so spät noch draußen?

This is such a quietly evocative piece—it feels like a moment caught between movement and memory 🎨🌙

I love how you’ve captured that in-between state of walking home late at night—the mix of cold air, slight unease, and a strange, almost comforting solitude. There’s something deeply human in that feeling of wanting to get home, yet being fully aware of the atmosphere around you.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
