That Dress Makes You Look Intelligent

What was the best compliment you’ve received?

Complements weren’t a regular thing in our family growing up. You really had to earn a compliment. It may be the reason I don’t handle them all that well.

I have a story coming out next week and it was a story I have a particular fondness for.

I wrote the story to take place in the future. It took that long to get accepted for publication that the future was now the past. I had to change that. The story is so different for me. Most of the story takes place on a picnic bench near where my daughter lives. It also takes place during wildfire season.

When the publisher contacted me to publish the story, she said the entire staff said the story stuck with them for a long time. That they had to print it as it was that powerful.

That compliment has been a real motivator to keep me writing. There are a lot of rejections in the publishing industry. A little compliment, such as this goes a long way.

    That’s inspired.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
