The Side Effects of Endorphins

In The Classic post apocalyptic book Earths Abides a constant theme is the;

Water Crisis: A significant plot point involves a water shortage, leading to tension, exploration of dried-up rivers, and the challenge of establishing a new, sustainable community.

So for them, it is water.

Who knows we may be in that crisis in years to come but for now there’s water to drink.

No Universal Favorite Drink

Yesterday I was sitting in a little café with my son and I ordered a classic Coke. I drink about one soda a month. That was the perfect drink at that time.

Earlier

The weather broke a little bit yesterday and went above freezing. I went for a 4 mile run in the morning and found myself a tad bit parched. I had the perfect glass of guava juice afterwards.

Last Night

I went to an art show last night. There were some of my short stories for sale. The curators had a sweet beer from France. I wouldn’t normally like it, but it was a perfect beer at the time.

This Morning

I normally drink mushroom coffee. It would be the perfect drink right now, but I ran out this morning. So right now a cup of hot tea is the perfect drink for right now.

But the common thread is water.
