If there were a biography about you, what would the title be?

Long Time Running

I might have trouble with copyright laws but I will burn that bridge when I find matches.

Almost everything in my life has a link back to running. I have met so many people and discovered numerous opportunities through this pastime.

Running was also a diversion away from many unhealthy behaviors. It’s pretty simple. I ran my first running race on September 8 1983.

Road Apples

t’s the same mistake
It’s been a long time running
It’s been a long time coming
It’s well worth the wait

Long time running is somber melancholy song on the Tragically Hips Road Apples album recorded circa 1990.

It is also a title of a documentary of Gord Downie s battle with brain cancer. I have cried through it every time I watched it.

Our friend Becca is now going through the same battle. Here is to you Becca. I have seen a few eclipses with Becca. It is what we do.

Full Circle

I learned of The Tragically Hip while running on the beaches in Ocean Shores Washington. It is a full life I live and a Long Time Running has fully enriched this story.

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.
