Eschewing Valentines Day

When my wife and I first met I gave her an unusual gift for Valentines day. I gave her a painting the read “Happy Made Up Fake Love Day”. I always considered this holiday a Hallmark holiday to sell candy. I am a former employee of Godiva Chocolatier and i can attest to this.

Surprised She Didn’t Dump Me

  1. “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”
This quote emphasizes the importance of adaptability in the face of change, a key concept in Darwin’s theory of evolution.

In a way Charles Darwin comes through on this quote. The same can also be said for relationships as we all change and those who have the ability to change will more likely survive,

I am in Europe, and my wife back in the states for this special holiday. I miss her not being at my side.

Here are some more quotes from Charles Dawin, and well worth reading in todays society.

  1. A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.”
This reflects Darwin’s belief in the significance of time and the importance of making the most of it.
  2. “The love for all living creatures is the most noble attribute of man.”
Here, Darwin highlights the intrinsic value of compassion and empathy towards all forms of life.
  3. “Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.”
This quote suggests that those who know little often assert their opinions with more confidence than those who are well-informed.
  4. “In the long history of humankind, those who learned to collaborate and improvise most effectively have prevailed.”
This speaks to the importance of cooperation and adaptability in human success.
  5. “We stopped looking for monsters under our bed when we realized they were inside us.”
A profound reflection on human nature and the internal struggles we face.
  6. “The natural world is full of marvels; those who look carefully will always discover more.”
This encourages a sense of wonder and curiosity about the natural world.

It is also the beginning of Carnival here in Germany.

We are all celebrating something.

Have a great day.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
