Spoiler Alert

You get some great, amazingly fantastic news. What’s the first thing you do?

No Fascism has not been eradicated in the United States. Thats a celebration for another dimension. For now we are talking about events not in the news. (Yes I know people in the Divided States of America receive news through their own private filter) but those events are not what we are speaking of here..

Generally I am low key when receiving terrific news. The first thing I do is verify that it is true. Once verified, my wife is the first to know and then it is filtered through my series of friends and family.

I talked about this previously, but bad news seems resonate with me on a larger magnitude. I recover relatively quickly, but fantastic news I let I percolate slowly that it paints many days to come.

The View

This question is broad in nature, (find all the unused anagrams ) and can only be answered with a narrower paint brush.

  • My wife got a new job in Seattle
  • I get to see my granddaughter in Mainz on Thursday
  • Universal Healthcare has been enacted in the States
  • My short story has been accepted for publication
  • It’s going to snow tomorrow
  • We are going to out to eat tonight.
  • The New Season of Shrinking is starting.

They are all fantastic news in their own right. But there is this.

Sorry Fascists do still exist.

What a wonderfully candid and joyful reflection! 🌟

I love how you capture the personal rhythm of receiving good news—verifying, sharing with loved ones, and letting the happiness percolate. The little everyday joys alongside bigger milestones make the piece relatable and heartwarming. Your writing beautifully celebrates life’s small and big victories alike—truly inspiring!

    Thank you very much.

I did that, in an art studio in Portland.

The teacher asked us to grab a magazine and paint from it.

And this emerged. And it is one of my favorites. The art class was a present from my daughter

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
