The Side Effects of Endorphins

Describe Tomorrow from beginning to end.

All I can talk about is how I want tomorrow to go. I will be waking up at 4:30 hopefully having my bags already in the car and head to the airport with my wife.

Check In

International flights can be weird as I go United to Lufthansa. I believe I drop-my bags off with United , but I have a good track record of baggage going in whatever direction it feels. I am not a homer, but Portland Airport is one of the nicest in the world.

Flight to Chicago

It is always a hesitation to use the term writer for myself, but I’ll use it here. A writer with 3 1/2 hours to kill hopes to get a lot of writing in. I like to watch international movies but for tomorrow I’ll probably write and hopefully my flight comes in on time.

Chicago to Frankfurt

I have this habit in Berlin of waking up at three in the morning. Hopefully early wake ups will force me into Germany time this time. if it sounds like lack of planning, you read it right. I hope to settle in and get some sleep on this flight. Lufthansa is fairly competent with vegan food.

Today becomes Tomorrow

While flying over Iceland, with the time change today becomes tomorrow. in a perfect world I’ll be fast asleep when this happens. We don’t live in a perfect world. If I have time, I will master the German language in the last two hours before we land.

Or I’ll wing it like I usually do. The term is only used when I fly.

Frankfurt

Hopefully, I’ll have my act together, as I don’t have much time in Frankfurt to head to Berlin. So in a perfect world and a perfect day I hope things go as planned as I chant. My favorite chant went traveling.

Ich kann nur darüber sprechen, wie ich mir den morgigen Tag vorstelle. Ich werde um 4:30 Uhr aufwachen, hoffentlich mit meinen Koffern bereits im Auto, und mich mit meiner Frau auf den Weg zum Flughafen machen.

Check-in

Internationale Flüge können seltsam sein, da ich mit United zu Lufthansa fliege. Ich glaube, ich gebe meine Koffer bei United auf, aber ich habe gute Erfahrungen damit gemacht, dass mein Gepäck immer in die Richtung geht, in die es gerade Lust hat. Ich bin kein Lokalpatriot, aber der Flughafen von Portland ist einer der schönsten der Welt.

Flug nach Chicago

Ich zögere immer, mich selbst als Schriftsteller zu bezeichnen, aber hier werde ich es tun. Ein Schriftsteller, der 3 1/2 Stunden Zeit totschlagen muss, hofft, viel schreiben zu können. Ich schaue gerne internationale Filme, aber morgen werde ich wahrscheinlich schreiben und hoffe, dass mein Flug pünktlich kommt.

Chicago nach Frankfurt

In Berlin habe ich die Angewohnheit, um drei Uhr morgens aufzuwachen. Hoffentlich zwingt mich das frühe Aufwachen diesmal dazu, mich an die deutsche Zeit zu gewöhnen. Wenn das nach mangelnder Planung klingt, dann haben Sie richtig gelesen. Ich hoffe, dass ich mich auf diesem Flug einrichten und etwas schlafen kann. Lufthansa ist ziemlich kompetent, was vegane Speisen angeht.

Heute wird morgen

Während wir über Island fliegen, wird heute aufgrund der Zeitverschiebung morgen. In einer perfekten Welt werde ich dann tief und fest schlafen. Aber wir leben nicht in einer perfekten Welt. Wenn ich Zeit habe, werde ich in den letzten zwei Stunden vor der Landung die deutsche Sprache meistern.

Oder ich improvisiere, wie ich es normalerweise tue. Der Begriff wird nur verwendet, wenn ich fliege.

Frankfurt

Hoffentlich habe ich alles im Griff, denn ich habe in Frankfurt nicht viel Zeit, um nach Berlin zu fahren. In einer perfekten Welt und an einem perfekten Tag hoffe ich also, dass alles so läuft, wie ich es mir vorstelle. Mein Lieblingsspruch ging auf Reisen.
