A Day In The Life of Jack Russel

I started on this project just because. It simply is a proof of concept. I sat haphazardly drew by hand and painted using watercolors.

I know it’s tempting to use AI, but this was fun. If you feel so inclined, you can expand the picture.

I think

It should be noted my Jack Russell only understands German when we’re running. The gist of the story is she wants to erase a spot on her back so she’s not recognized as the bad dog.

This is such a charming and genuine project. You can really feel the joy of making in it—the kind that comes from letting your hands lead without overthinking the outcome. The choice to draw and paint it yourself, a little haphazard and intuitive, gives it personality and warmth that no polished shortcut could replace.

I also love the humor and imagination in the story—your Jack Russell’s logic is oddly perfect, and the detail about her only understanding German while running is delightful. It feels playful, personal, and quietly clever. Proof-of-concept or not, this has heart, and that’s what makes it memorable.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
