Many have gone into deep sole searching over the phenomenon known as writers block.I have the opposite. My mind comes up with so many random and seemingly good ideas for stories or even artwork.
But I roam from one good idea, It’s my good idea, to another without spending enough time on any particular idea. Sometimes it amazes me when I crank out a coherent 4000 word story.
Sometimes stories are funny to read, especially when they are written over a few days. My moods are never consistent. They are certainly within a standard deviation or two, but they’re never the same. Sometimes it’s fun just to read my work and it’s capriciousness..
Editing
I abhor to admit that I do not like proofreading. I actually hate it. When I do not hate proofreading, I know my story is headed in the right direction. And with editing I could be doing other things such as writing another story, painting, folding wash or heading out into a creative minefield, which is the drug known as Endorphins
Where Good IDEAS flow
Yes out on a run, right after a racquetball game, of after scaling that mountain peak. The synapses collide and hit brain pathways far forgotten.
AND
Then you put paint to easel, pen to paper or even speak a foreign language and the destination may or might not meet what was intended. Still the journey is worth taking.
