Ain’t No Mountain High Enough

Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.

Sense of Adventure

I am not a mountain climber. I have climbed Mount Saint Helens about 10 times. I’ve done the climb with each of the kids.. Our middle daughter broke her ankle during one such hike. Our youngest never made it to the top as we got snowed out.

Yeah Running is my Thing

I ran around Mount Saint Helens three times (60 kilometers) and Mt Hood (75 km) once and did my first Ultra on Rainer. The one thing I’ve never done is scaled Mount Hood. I have been close to the top, but my fear of heights always hold me back. Do I regret not making it to the top? not really. I treat the mountain with respect.

Now That I am 29.

It’s been a while since I scaled a mountain. I’m getting the urge to climb Mount Saint Helens again. The last time I did, it was with my brother Rob. We cranked songs by the Tragically Hip on the way back.

Tales From I5

My wife and I and spend a lot of time going up and down I five. Here’s another less extreme tongue in cheek aspiration.

That’s awesome! I have to say that is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

This is a wonderfully reflective and grounded piece. I love how you frame adventure not as conquest, but as relationship—with mountains, with family, with time itself. The honesty about fear, respect for nature, and the lack of regret feels refreshing and deeply human.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
