Volsweise

Volsweise
Mich rührt so sehr
böhmischen Volkes Weise
schleicht sie ins Herz sich leise,
macht sie es Schwer

wenn ein Kind sacht
singt beim Kartoffeljäten,
klinkt dir sein Lied im späten
Traum noch der Nacht

Magst du auch sein
weit Uber Land gefahren,
fallt es dir doch nach Jahren
stets weider ein.

I am so moved by
the wisdom of the Bohemian people
it creeps quietly into my heart,
it makes it heavy

when a child sings softly
while weeding potatoes,
its song lingers in your late
dreams of the night

Even if you have traveled
far across the land,
it will still come back to you
after many years.

Rainer Maria Rilke

I know poetry in German about equally the same so why not kill two stones with one bird.

I put this here in the comments, but writing out this poem and reading it is rather centering

I would love to hear you opinion as well

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
