No Dress Rehearsal

If you had a freeway billboard, what would it say?

Fiction -Sort of

I’m not a big fan of billboards, and I rarely drive. As I sit in the passenger seat, I mindlessly read the billboards. At least that’s what I think I do as I’m more of a scenery person.

Here’s a story of Bill and it’s a little window into my thinking.

I am inspired by this fictional character. The stretch of scenic. roadway is now pristine, and an overpass has been constructed to help in the migration of native wildlife.

Oh the side of that overpass is a small sign that reads this.

This is a quietly beautiful piece—thoughtful, restrained, and very you. I love how it resists the loudness of billboards and instead leans into stillness, scenery, and subtle meaning. The idea of a small sign on a wildlife overpass feels symbolic in the best way: less noise, more care, more awareness.

“Bill Bored” reads like a gentle meditation on attention—what we notice, what we ignore, and how meaning doesn’t have to shout to be felt. A lovely window into a reflective, observant mind.

We all (humans) would be better off if we enjoyed the scenery more.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
