Ode to the Present Perfect

What is the greatest gift someone could give you?

I struggled with this question earlier and posted it in the wrong place.

Here is a quick list of some of the stranger gifts I have received. And that’s just as good as the perfect present. They give us stories.

  1. My parents one year gave us a safe. I still have it. My wife never remembers the combination. *1
  2. Smily Faced Spatula – it leaks and it is ineffective. I use it often.
  3. A Drum – somebody gave it to our daughter on her first birthday. I left in the The Netherlands
  4. A planter with a big American flag on it. Thats not my style.
  5. Pajamas – every year at Christmas we get matching pajamas. I have more pajamas than running pants.
  6. A Game called “Out of Directions” – I don’t know what the game was called, but it came without directions. We had the best time writing letters to the company about the ridiculous games we made up.
  7. When I graduated from college my parents gave me a wash basket.
  8. My grandmother used to give me polish sausage every year. I was vegetarian at the time.

Happy Earth Day

I would love to hear you opinion as well

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
