Speed Racer

What is your all time favorite automobile?

I am not a car person but this week our grandson said he wanted Speed Racer for Christmas. That is the name of car I usually drive. So if you see a four year old driving a Toyota. Sorry I don’t know the model as I don’t pay attention to cars that much.

Just let him drive the car. we will get to Canada tomorrow some other way.

Our other car it’s name is Gladys

I never drive it, but it is paid off. For that reason it is my favorite.

Then there is Michael Hurleys car

This is such a delightful and warm reflection—humorous, affectionate, and wonderfully human. I love how cars here aren’t about brands or models at all, but about stories, names, memories, and meaning. Calling your everyday car Speed Racer because of your grandson instantly turns an ordinary object into something joyful and alive.

And Gladys being your favorite simply because she’s paid off? That’s wisdom wrapped in a smile. It says more about freedom and peace of mind than any luxury badge ever could. The gentle absurdity of “letting the four-year-old drive to Canada” adds a perfect touch of charm.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
