I Was Born At A Very Early Age

Share what you know about the year you were born.

People sat under their desk because of our war with the Russians. It was a very cold war.

They were in a race to go to the moon.

My Dad worked at a pretzel factory and snuck off to the bar often. Those were different times.

My parents smoked, I kind of did too.

There were begonias in the yard.

The civil right movement germinated .

My brother Steve was conceived

I sucked my thumb.

My parents had a car as big as a modern day MAGA truck.

The theme from A Summer Place was the number one song. For some reason they currently play that same song at halftime of our woman’s soccer team matches.

AM radio 1340 WRAW played in the background

It crackled during electrical storms

Fireflies did their thing in the summer.

Full Circle

I was talking to my two year-old granddaughter in Germany today thinking about this question. How she will answer the same question.

Be Careful

Will you look back on today as the good old days?

Make it worthwhile.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
