Loaded Question

Are you a good judge of character?

This question is quizzical to me as I believe the default answer has to be YES.

Character in my opinion is favorable traits in other people that you deem desirable.

The characteristic traits I deep desirable in other people include

  1. Kindness
  2. We vs me
  3. Integrity
  4. Inquisitive
  5. Honesty
  6. Sense of Humor

That was off the top of my head and is not intended to be all inclusive and could change tomorrow if asked.

Other people have other traits they see as desirable. I would hope them to be similar.

Naive Assumption

Maybe that is a naive assumption but I am going to assume the above attribute are part of having good character. A question we should be asking is this. Does character matter or is the definition of character different from one person to another.

In essence

In essence, while core moral aspects are common, what people focus on—consistency, action, internal values, or even literary roles—makes the definition personal and varied.

Or as my dad would say

“ Did you walk to work or carry your lunch?”

Back to Original Question

That’s like my dad‘s question. It’s a circular question with no right or no wrong. I could argue, there is a right, but I could be wrong.

Character does matter to me. Am I a good judge of it? I don’t know.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
