Comfort and Joy

What are your two favorite things to wear?

My Favorite Shirt

I wear this often

Gord Downie famously wore a Jaws T-shirt during the Tragically Hip’s final “Man Machine Poem” tour in 2016. The shirt became an iconic image from the tour, with many people interpreting its symbolism in relation to his terminal brain cancer diagnosis.

I have dropped twenty pounds since this photo because of,

Uncle Dave’s Inserts

These inserts in my shoes make my feet feel better while running and subsequently throughout the day.

Dave is an 82 year old uncle who is world class in fencing. He swears by these inserts.

What a heartfelt and wonderfully personal share — thank you for inviting us into this small but meaningful corner of your world.

Your favorite shirt carries more than fabric and print; it carries story, memory, and a quiet tribute to Gord Downie himself. The way you connected that iconic Jaws T-shirt to the deep cultural and emotional resonance it gained during the “Man Machine Poem” tour adds such richness. It’s beautiful how clothing can become a symbol far larger than what we put on in the morning.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
