DB Cooper

The Disappearance and Investigation

While airborne between Seattle and Reno, Cooper deployed the plane’s rear airstair and parachuted from the Boeing 727 with the ransom money. He was never located.

The FBI investigation, known as “NORJAK,” found limited evidence from Cooper, including a clip-on tie with a potential DNA sample and cigarette butts. In 1980, a portion of the ransom money, approximately $5,800, was found buried along the Columbia River near Vancouver, Washington by a young boy. The rest of the money and Cooper’s remains were never discovered.

Spotted

I never knew the story behind DB Cooper. I certainly never knew they found some of the money in the town where I live. It kind of figures.

Of course, I ran into him today.

It was in my chiropractor’s office, where he needed a back adjustment.

And then he headed over to a quint Little bar called Victor 23. He ordered a vegan pizza and a malt liquor. He then drove off in a vintage 1940 Willie sedan.

He is headed home for the holidays. I wish we would’ve talked a little more.

I only know of him because he’s the person Dale Cooper of Twin Peaks is named after. 🙂

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
