The Curious Case of The Turkey Stealing Vegan

If you send a vegan into the meat section of the grocery store, it might not end well. I (the vegan) went to the local cushy grocery store to pick up a turkey for our family dinner this weekend.

It took me a while, but I found where you pick up the pre-ordered turkeys. I tend to have a chip on my shoulder in transactions such as this. But I pretty much held my tongue.

They asked me, my name, looked it up pretty quickly and brought out my Turkey. I commented that that was easy and walked back out to the car and put the turkey in the trunk.

Then I thought to myself, don’t you have to pay for these things? I had just walked out to the car without paying for our turkey..

I walked right back in the store and told them I shoplifted from them. I was here to pay for my turkey.

They said it happens more often than you think.

I’m making a vegan Tofurky tomorrow by the way. In case you wondered on Thanksgiving morning, Portland has a Tofurky Trot.

It is a nice event. https://nwveg.org/tofurky-trot

I would love to hear you opinion as well

He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
