Giant

If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?

Named Andre

Who starred in Princess Bride and performed this miraculous feat.

I remember going to watch him as a kid I was mesmerized.

Pennsylvania

In 1976 in a Pennsylvania pub, André the Giant etched his name into legend with a drinking feat that has remained unmatched for nearly half a century as he consumed 119 standard 12 ounce beers over the course of just six hours. Averaging nearly 20 beers an hour, the 7 foot 4 inch, 500 pound wrestling icon displayed a tolerance that defied belief, turning an ordinary night of drinking into one of the most retold stories in wrestling lore. To put it in perspective, 119 beers equals more than nine gallons of alcohol, a quantity that would overwhelm most men, but for André it was simply another reminder that everything about him was larger than life. Friends, wrestlers, and bartenders who witnessed the spectacle swore by its truth, and the story has since become a cornerstone of his legend, standing beside his dominance in the ring as proof of his extraordinary presence. More than forty years later, no one has come close to breaking André’s unofficial record, which continues to amaze fans and reinforce his reputation as an unmatched force of nature whose larger than life persona extended far beyond the squared circle.

I am posting a bit whimsically this week as it has grandkid week in Seattle. Gone are the days where you I could post at work.

Incredible story! 🏆🍻 André the Giant’s legend extends far beyond wrestling—his larger-than-life feats, both in and out of the ring, continue to amaze and inspire. Truly unforgettable!”

I would love to hear you opinion as well

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
