We Built This City

What is your favorite place to go in your city?

What exactly is my city? I spend a lot of time in Seattle. Mainz and Berlin and live just outside of Portland.

Vancouver, Wa

Vancouver has a reputation as being a little sister city as compared to Portland. It is not anymore. It certainly now has the downtown waterfront, the farmers market, and plenty of little pubs. The downtown area also has four record stores much to my liking.

It certainly is lacking for quality restaurants. If I want decent vegan food, I have to go into Portland.

Kiggins Theatre

I love the Kiggins Theatre. I escape there to see art house, movies, and have a glass of Shiner Bock.

The Kiggins Theatre is an historic, single-screen movie theater in Vancouver, Washington. Named for former Vancouver mayor and businessman John P. Kiggins, it opened in 1936. It is located at 1011 Main Street in downtown Vancouver.

Portland

The war zone known as Portland. Forest Park. it sits above the city and is

it is one of the largest urban parks not only in the city, but in the country. You can run there for hours and hours without seeing people. I have run many miles there from 5 mile runs to 31 (50k) mile runs and enjoyed every single one.

What a wonderful reflection! Your vivid descriptions really bring Vancouver, Portland, and Mainz to life, from the charm of Kiggins Theatre to the vast serenity of Forest Park. I especially loved how you conveyed the joy of finding quiet spaces amid urban life—it makes your favorite places feel inviting and full of character.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
